Rek Bell

A photo project of the rabbits rek and devine touring with friends and/or family.

Rek & Dev never have photos of themselves together, but friends sometimes send them photos after every trip. It is now tradition for all of these pics to become rabbit tour pics.

The project started in March 2021, and is ongoing.

Process: I only ever use photos sent by others, which are low-res phone photos which I upscale, paint over and dither (with a custom palette) using the Atkinson algorithm. We never ask others to take the photos, they do, or they don't, and they send them to me, or don't! It's a timepiece of sorts, a view of ourselves through the eyes of others, with us as rabbits. Our sailor nickname has been the rabbits for a long time, so it is rather fitting. The project started with pictures sent by our good friends Rik and Kay, but have since evolved to include photos by Hug, and Sib.
